Dana Cyrus
Baseball CoachMr. Dana Cyrus joined the coaching staff at Blue Ridge Community College in January 2008 and was named head coach July 1, 2008. He has more than 10 years of coaching experience at different levels including select travel and summer college teams. Coach Cyrus has been active with hosting showcases, sponsoring tournaments, and player development and promotions since 2001. Coach Cyrus is a consultant to several MLB Scouts and specializes in recruiting. Dana is married to wife Tracy and they have 3 children.
Matt Henson
Assistant Coach - Baseball Coach Henson joins the Bears staff after a successful Division I career at University of North Carolina- Asheville. While at UNC-A Matt helped lead the team to their first ever conference championship in 2006. He played in the Clemson, SC regional with teams such as: Clemson, Mississippi State, and Elon. Before joining the Bulldogs, Coach Henson played for legendary coach Rick Robinson at Young Harris College. While there he posted a 102-20 career record. In addition to his collegiate career, Matt played for the Yorkton Cardinals, and in the Coastal Plains League with the Wilmington Sharks. Coach will be working with baserunners and infielders.
