| Location and Facilities
Blue Ridge Community College's Flat Rock campus is situated on 140 acres three miles south of Hendersonville, the county seat of Henderson County, NC. The Flat Rock campus is a twelve-building complex that includes more than 350,000 square feet of floor space, divided into classrooms, shop and labs, a library, a learning center, office space, and a student activities facility. At the center of the campus is a tree-lined lake.
Campus facilities include a comprehensive library, a state-of-the-art environmental and safety training center, a 450-seat performing auditorium, a 1,000-seat conference hall, television recording studio, a lecture center, a technology training center, and a two-way interactive distance learning center. The new Technology Education and Development Center, which opened in 2008, includes a virtual training center and nine state-of-the-art computer labs.

Twenty-two miles west of the main campus in Brevard, NC, located in adjoining Transylvania County, the College operates the Transylvania Center. This multi-building Center houses both curriculum and continuing education classes. It is also home to the Blue Ridge Innovation Center, a 3,500 sq. ft. facility for small business incubation and entrepreneurship programs.
Situated near the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina at an altitude of 2,140 feet, the College is easily accessible from Interstate 26; and US Highways 64, 25, and 176. Commercial air service is provided by several major airlines which serve the Asheville Regional Airport located twelve miles north of Hendersonville.
The College's location between the metropolitan areas of Asheville, North Carolina, and Greenville and Spartanburg, South Carolina, place it near the center of a rapid growth area in southwestern North Carolina. Blue Ridge Community College is surrounded by Historic Flat Rock, the Pisgah National Forest, the Bat Cave-Chimney Rock resort area, and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
