Now offering access to the Foundation Center, a nonprofit organization with 50 years of experience connecting grantseekers and grantmakers.   Foundation Center's Directory Online, the nation’s leading online resource in funding research, is now available in Henderson County and can be used free of charge on site at the Flat Rock Campus.  In Transylvania County the online directory can be used at the Transylvania County Library.

Updated continually, provides the most accurate details available on U.S. funders and their grants.

Comprehensive

Over 98,000 U.S. foundations and corporate donors, 1.7 million recent grants, and more than 400,000 key decision makers and 1.7 million grants to support local non-profits in finding grant funding.

Either keyword text search all fields in this database or limit results geographically, by fields of interest, types of support, grant makers, companies, grants and 990’s. Database is updated weekly.  (Bring a thumb drive to save your research.)

Center also offers free online webinars on Foundations and Fundraising, Proposal Writing, Nonprofit Management and Starting a Nonprofit.

March Live Seminar

Nonprofit Resources for 2010

 

 
Blue Ridge Community College and Community Foundation of Henderson County are pleased to announce the Nonprofit Center hosting Kief Schladweiler Cooperating Collections Coordinator with Foundation Center Headquarters in New York City will be onsite at Blue Ridge Community College to present the Nonprofit Resources for 2010 seminar on March 15th.

The Foundation Center is the nation’s leading authority on organized philanthropy, connecting nonprofits and the grantmakers supporting them to tools they can use and information they can trust. T he Nonprofit Resources for 2010 seminar is open to the general public, there is no charge to attend and will be held from 10am-12 noon. Pre-registration is required due to limited seating.

Kief Schladweiler will review resources available through Foundation Center such as grant seeking resources and programs to support non-profits in being sustainable in 2010. The local Non-Profit Business Center is an approved Cooperating Collection site of Foundation Center. To learn more about the Foundation Center one can go to http://foundationcenter.org/.
