Advanced Cardiac Life Support
(ACLS)
This course follows the standard American Heart Association guidelines. It provides physicians, nurses, paramedics and other health care providers with information concerning advanced management of the cardiac patient.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
This course follows the current American Red Cross guidelines for Adult, Child and Infant CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation - one and two rescuer CPR), obstructed airway, rescue breathing, breathingdevices and special resuscitation situations. The course is designed for the professional rescuer.
CPR Instructor
The CPR Instructor's Course is designed to certify basic CPR Instructors through the American Heart Association. This course teaches instruction skills in general, as well as specific CPR teaching skills. Upon successful completion, the student will be awarded a CPR Instructor's certificate. Pre-requisite: Current certification in CPR or equivalent.
Heartsaver/First Aid
This course consists of classroom training, demonstration and hands-on practice in the identificationv and initial treatment of medical emergencies to include wounds,burns, poisoning, bites, fractures, heart attack, choking, emergency childbirth, and other medical problems. The course is designed to provide training for individuals who must respond to emergencies until skilled medical assistance arrives to take control of the situation.
Heartsaver CPR
This is a course designed to teach the students to recognize emergency situations involving heart attack, choking, respiratory and cardiac arrest in adults, children and infant victims.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
This course provides information in teaching and testing Pediatric Advanced Life Support course participants. Topics include teaching techniques, setting-up practice and testing stations and course management. Successful completion of the Pediatric Advanced Life Support is a prerequisite for this course.
