The student will complete one registeration for the entire program. Each course within the program will consist of readings, discussions, written papers, quizzes, and projects. There are no book purchase requirements as all material will be posted within each course. However, your instructor may advise of reading material that will be beneficial to you for the classes.

The program is a total of 300 hours consisting of 5 classes.  Each class within being 60 hours and 6 weeks in length. The student will complete 2 assignment per week. Upon successfully completing all 5 courses within the certificate program, the student will receive a Basic Leadership Certificate of 300 hours and 30 CEUs. In order to successfully complete each course, you must have a final grade of 70% or above.

Tuition exemption applies for NC Sworn Officers.

Course Entrance Requirements/ Prerequisites:

Students are required to be a sworn officer. North Carolina Officers must provide verification of North Carolina Sworn status for tuition exemption to apply. (completed during registration and as a posted forum within the class). All out of state sworn officers must pay a registration/tuition fee of $175.00.
