Electronic Health Records
This course introduces the student to electronic health records (EHR) used in various health care settings. The course explains how EHRs are changing the nature of the work performed by individuals throughout the medical profession. Students gain hands on experience in this EHR program.
This course prepares students for entry level jobs in the accounting skills used in a doctor’s office or medical facility. Topics include Front Office Management, Filing Part B HCFA 1500, Filing Part A HCFA 1450, All About Medicare, Medicare Billing Problems, Patient Record Keeping using Medisoft, Medicare as Secondary Payer, Medicare and Home Health, and Medicare and Women’s Health.
This course introduces the skills needed to work in the health information management profession. It prepares students to be insurance-coding and medical-billing specialists, those professionals who work with the insurance companies that reimburse health-care facilities for the services and treatments provided to patients.
This course is for students in the allied health curriculum who need to know the language and terminology of the health care industry. It teaches how medical words are formed and provides systemic learning structure. Pronunciation is detailed digitally by way of your computer.
