Writing and Inquiry
This course is designed to develop the ability to produce clear writing in a variety of genres and formats using a recursive process. Emphasis includes inquiry, analysis, effective use of rhetorical strategies, thesis development, audience awareness, and revision. Upon completion, students should be able to produce unified, coherent, well-developed essays using standard written English. This course has been approved to satisfy the Universal General Education Transfer Component of the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement general education English composition requirement for the Associate in Arts and the Associate in Science Degrees. Note: The second level curriculum English (ENG 112 or ENG 114) should be carefully selected with input from the student faculty advisor to ensure proper program credit. This course should be selected based on the requirements of the student’s program.
