Responsibilities for Faculty:

Works with curriculum and continuing education faculty to set up and deliver online education. (Contact Alice for online training materials, course shells and access to VLC courses.)

Writes grants for professional development opportunities for faculty and staff.

Creates faculty training opportunities. See the Insider for a listing of
current workshops

Writes system level Service Agreements for delivering ITV and online courses or programs to sister community colleges and coordinates delivery with Media Services.
- Supervises the
Open Lab in TEDC 102
and work-study students in the lab.
- Supervises Instructional Technology and DL Support staff (below).
Responsibilities for Students:
- Assists with online and email account set up and maintenance via phone support and
online tutorials
.
- Delivers phone and in-person support for technical issues with
Moodle
(online platform)
- Available by request of faculty for in class presentations and/or games regarding online education

Develops page templates in and maintains the OmniUpdate content management system

Assures that college websites meet usability, established standards, and ADA requirements

Builds and maintains mySQL databases to provide dynamic content for the college's website.

Develops web applications to extract data from mySQL databases for use on college websites using PHP

Consults with departments on designing and developing web content.

Administers and maintains Resource25 back-end database and 25Live Event Management System.

Performs duties related to
Moodle
online learning platform including platform maintenance
Responsibilities for Students:

Provide support for students taking online course and hybrid courses especially troubleshooting log-in and connectivity issues
