Dr. and Mrs. William D. Killian Outstanding Teacher Award
The endowment for this award was established by the first president of the College and his wife in 1990.
When making your nomination for this award, please consider whether the following criteria has been exhibited by a full-time instructional staff member:
- The ability to lead and motivate students.
- The ability to understand, relate, listen, and interact with students.
- Evidence of support for the community college educational mission.
- Innovation in teaching.
- Leadership among colleagues in instruction and peer recognition excellence in teaching.
The recipient of this award will represent the College in the North Carolina Community College System/RJ Reynolds Excellence in Teaching Award competition.
