Message from the President
Welcome to Blue Ridge Community College. I encourage you to look at our many program and course offerings, offered at three campuses in Henderson and Transylvania Counties. Feel free to visit in person or explore our website to discover all we have to offer you.

Whether you are seeking an associate degree, learning new job skills or taking classes for personal development, Blue Ridge Community College is an affordable choice. About Laura B. Leatherwood
Dr. Laura B. Leatherwood was named the College’s fourth president in July 2017.
Prior to being named president at Blue Ridge Community College, she served for 17 years in various roles at Haywood Community College including vice president of student and workforce development, executive director of Haywood Community College Foundation, and director of institutional advancement.
Dr. Leatherwood holds a doctorate degree in university and community college leadership, a master’s degree in human resource development, and a bachelor’s degree in business law, all from Western Carolina University.
She currently serves on the board for Henderson County Partnership for Economic Development, Mountain Area Workforce Development, Henderson County Chamber of Commerce, National Technical Honor Society, and Park Ridge Health. She is also a member of Henderson County Public Schools CTE Business Advisory Committee and Western Carolina University College of Business Board of Directors.
