Scholarships are available for the 2010-2011 academic year.
Apply January 7 - March 1!
Scholarships are made possible by the generous donations of individuals, businesses, and organizations who have chosen to provide their support for students through Blue Ridge Community College Educational Foundation.
They are awarded based on criteria such as financial need and academic achievement, and are available to persons who are enrolled or intend to enroll in specific programs.
How to Apply
- Download, print, and complete the 2010-2011 Scholarship Application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Print legibly or type. (Use blue or black ink.)
- Complete the Application for Admission to Blue Ridge Community College before you submit your scholarship application.
- Register early for Fall 2010 classes. Registration dates will be listed on the College’s Web site.
- Obtain recommendations — read carefully to determine which category applies to you.
- If you are currently attending Blue Ridge Community College, please provide the names of two Blue Ridge instructors/staff who can comment on your character, abilities, extracurricular activities, and financial need.
- For 2009 high school graduates or 2010 seniors, please provide two letters of recommendation from high school teachers or staff who can comment on your character, abilities, extracurricular activities, and financial need.
If neither of the above applies to you, please provide two letters of recommendation from individuals who can comment on your character, abilities, extracurricular activities, and financial need. (Do not use members of your family.)
- Provide parental income information if you are age 23 or under, not married, and have no dependent children.
Submit your scholarship application no later than Monday, March 1, 2010, to:

All scholarship applicants will be notified by mail prior to Fall Registration Day in August.
