We have some very sad news to share with the TRU community. Justin Andrews, who is featured in the current TRU media campaign, died last week due to complications from lung cancer. The obituary from the Raleigh News & Observer is below. The obituary indicates wherecondolences can be shared as well as information about where donations to the memorial fund can be made.

Justin's obituary appeared in the News and Observer (11-28-10):

Mr. Justin Scott Andrews, 30, of Stem died Wednesday, November 24, 2010 due to complications from lung cancer. He was an IT professional for the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Butner. He is survived by his wife, Kristy Andrews and their son, Jeffrey of the home; his parents Bill and Janice Sumners Andrews of Creedmoor; one sister, Alison Andrews Totty and husband John of Jamestown; one niece, Madison Totty; grandmother, Joyce Sumners of Creedmoor. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack Sumners, and Bill and Mary Andrews. Justin’s Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Butner, NC the Reverend Lenny Rogers will officiate.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:00-2:00 pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Justin Andrews memorial fund to benefit the LUNGevity Foundation for lung cancer research – http://events.lungevity.org/goto/justinandrews.
