About WebAdvisor
The WebAdvisor system allows students, faculty, advisors and administration to access specific college information. As a student, you can:
* look at course offerings * check the status of your application * check grades * search for classes * register online * add/drop classes, and * access other information.
While some information may be accessed by anyone, such as Search for Classes, other information requires you to log-in with a User ID and password.
How to Login to WebAdvisor for the first time
1. Go to the college homepage (www.blueridge.edu)
2. Look in the upper right of any BRCC webpage 3. Click the WebAdvisor button or type in
http://online.blueridge.edu
in your browser 4. When at the WebAdvisor site, look to the bottom right of page and click on I'm New to WebAdvisor link
5. An informational screen will appear - click OK
6. A What's My User ID screen appears. Type in last name ON RECORD and Social Security number (no dashes or spaces) or seven digit Colleague Student ID number if you know it.
7. This screen will show your user ID-it is very important that you write this down, so you may log in after you receive your password. This is the same
Username
(or user id) that you will use for WebAdvisor, Moodle, and WebMail.)
However, please note, the e-mailed Password is for WEBADVISOR only! Select the drop down arrow to display the email address that your password will be sent to, select it and click SUBMIT.
NOTE: if no e-mail is showing or if the e-mail is incorrect, you will need to contact the registrar (828-694-1811 for curriculum or 828-1737 for continuing education) to have it corrected. You cannot receive your WEBADVISOR password without a functioning e-mail account.
8. Check your email that displayed in the drop down box. If a message with your password does not appear, check your junk/spam folder for a message.
9. Now that you have your User ID and password, you are ready to log in. Select "Log In" on the WebAdvisor screen. (http://online.blueridge.edu)
Enter your User ID and WebAdvisor password and choose "Submit"
10. You will be prompted to change your password. After doing so, you will be logged in to WebAdvisor and may select any of the links you need.
11. If this is not your first time logging in to WebAdvisor: In the Password box, type in whatever you changed your password to the last time you used WebAdvisor. If you cannot remember, then follow the
instructions for Retrieving or Resetting Your Password.
Note: If you simply want to search the schedule of classes, you do not need a User ID or a password. You can click on Student and then click Search for Sections without an ID or password!
