Information Technologies
This department is responsible for maintaining all of the College's computer labs, desktop computers, data infrastructure, servers, and the many software systems that are needed for BRCC users. Unseen by most users, BRCC's data, voice, and video networks provide connection to other users, the state, nation, and world. The College's telecommunications system is also supported by this unit and includes the telephones, voice mail, fax, e-mail and interactive video networks. The IT Department also supports the BRCC Colleague administrative software system, web servers, printing system, networking control systems, streaming media systems, and file sharing servers. |

Instructional Technologies and Distance Learning Support (ITDLS)
Online course development and delivery is the major focus of this department. These specialists work with faculty to create Internet-based interactive instruction using BRCC's Course Management System - Moodle. Faculty learn how to format courses for online instruction, design multimedia rich modules to enhance their courses, and how to teach using distance learning technologies. Real-time interactive video (ITV) course are also developed by this unit.
Assistance in developing web pages is also available from ITDLS. All departments on campus have access to the expertise of the BRCC Webmaster who is a part of this team. Help is available in designing websites, web resources for hybrid courses, or other web-based resources. |

Media Services
The Media Services team is available to assist faculty and staff with the production of audio and video materials. This unit is responsible for digital video and audio production including: studio production, field recording, audio and video editing, DVD authoring and mastering, CD duplication and more. These professionals are also responsible for supporting classroom AV, interactive video facilitation, teleconferencing, and multimedia support for large meetings. |
