Technology Building Evening Exterior The classroom section of TEDC includes 69,000 square feet of instructional space.  First opened for classes in August of 2008.

 


Students in Computer Lab

Computer Labs

The facility contains fourteen computer labs that use the latest hardware and software for students in all programs.  Each lab is equipped with a high resolution data/video projection system with stereo sound.  BRCC's Lecture Lab design is unique and can seat up to 24 students in each room.

The College's Open Lab provides workstations for 48 students to use for research, projects or assignments.  This lab is available from 9:00 in the morning until 9:00 at night, Monday through Thursday.

The new Virtual Realty Training Center is home for the BRCC CAVE.  The CAVE is an interactive 3D Stereo simulation environment for training and education.

Labs in this building support courses in Computer Science, Networking, Web Technologies and Digital Art as well.

TV Studio

and Production Facilities

Course in film and television production are offered in the College's modern high definition television studio, editing facilities, and digital audio production studio.  These facilities feature a three-camera studio with production switcher, still store, clip store, HD video recorders, character generator, and terminal equipment that gives students hands-on learning experience in digital video production.

The Digital Audio Studio is a state of the art digital music and post-production facility that supports the program.  Students can create their own original music tracks for film and video, or learn to produce digital masters for music production.

The Digital Media Center is a well equipped teaching facility where students can learn to use digital production software for film, video, and image processing.

The most important component of TEDC is its people.  The faculty who teach in this facility are experienced professionals who offer students the benefit of knowledge gained from business and industry.

The support staff located in the facility provide a wide range of technical support for the many programs offered in the building.  This team of professionals include the HeldDesk, Media Services, and Instructional Technology and Distance Learning Support.

The administrators located in the building are the Vice President for Technology and the Dean for Business Service Careers.
