Blue Ridge Community College recently received approval to offer the NC General Contractors CE course for contractors’ required eight hours of annual continuing education credits.
The course covers the two-hour mandatory North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors (NCLBGC) information, plus it includes the six additional hours of elective coursework in Project Management and Tools for Managers. Registration costs $90.
These requirements were established in 1925 by the North Carolina General Assembly, and are designed for the purpose of safeguarding life, health and property and to promote public welfare.
Blue Ridge President Dr. Laura Leatherwood explained how proud she is to see the College offering such necessary courses.
“Blue Ridge is pleased to be offering this much-needed course,” Leatherwood stated. “Our general contractors are the soul of a great workforce, and we are proud to help them meet their requirements for continuing education.”
All course options will be held in the College’s Technology Education and Development Center (TEDC) located on its Henderson County campus at 49 East Campus Dr. Flat Rock, NC 28731.
The following options are available for general contractors as in-person training at this time:
