Blue Ridge Community College Hosts Detention Officer Graduation Ceremony

HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – The Blue Ridge Community College Detention Officer Certification Course (DOCC) hosted a graduation ceremony for its Spring 2023 graduates on Friday, March 24, in the College’s Wyatt Auditorium.

The list of graduates included Justin M. Fisher, Stephen M. Hendrix, William S. Sanders, Jeffrey Thompson, and Casey W. Whitmire.

In his opening remarks, Chief of Staff Dr. David Stegall encouraged the graduates to seek humility while serving in their future careers.

Law Enforcement Training Officer David Hensley congratulated the graduates on their completion of over 200 hours of training. He also awarded certificates to outstanding students; the Informal Leader Award was given to Justin M. Fisher, and the Academic Achievement Award was given to Stephen M. Hendrix.

Following the presentation of certificates and a retrieval of colors by the Henderson County Law Enforcement Honor Guard, Hensley concluded the event by presenting the students as the graduating class of 2023.
