East Tennessee State University and Blue Ridge Community College of North Carolina are partnering to provide transfer pathways for students who earn an associate of applied science degree to complete one of 10 bachelor’s degree programs, as well as an RN to BSN program.

Blue Ridge Community College is a two-year, post-secondary institution with a strong history of preparing students for four-year colleges and universities, offering more than 200 degrees, diplomas and certificates.

“We are excited about the creation of a seamless pathway for those pursuing associate’s degrees in technical areas to earn a bachelor’s degree in applied science at ETSU as we help support students’ professional and personal goals,” said Dr. Jill LeRoy-Frazier, chair of ETSU’s Division of Cross-Disciplinary Studies.

ETSU’s Associate Provost for Curriculum Dr. Bill Flora met with Blue Ridge President Dr. Laura B. Leatherwood for a formal signing event on Dec. 3 at the community college’s campus in Flat Rock, North Carolina.

“This collaboration with ETSU represents one of the most comprehensive transfer agreements Blue Ridge Community College has established to date, empowering our graduates to seamlessly continue their educational and career goals across a wide spectrum of disciplines,” said Dr. Leatherwood. “By aligning our respective programs with the region’s critical workforce needs, we are deepening our commitment to student achievement and community prosperity. We look forward to building a stronger future together through this dynamic partnership.”

The new partnership offers 11 different degree pathways:

AAS Civil Engineering Technology to BAS Industrial Leadership

AAS Mechatronics to BAS Industrial Leadership
