Blue Ridge Community College invites qualified professionals ready to make a mark on the future of their field to attend a Part-Time Faculty Hiring Event on Tuesday, October 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Patton Building, located at 180 W. Campus Drive, Flat Rock, North Carolina.
The College is seeking dedicated part-time instructors to join its team and help shape the next generation of the workforce through day, evening, and online courses offered at both its Henderson and Transylvania County campuses in Western North Carolina. Openings begin as soon as December 2025 and January 2026.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their résumé for fast-tracked applications and on-the-spot interviews with Blue Ridge’s Human Resources representatives. Team members will also be available to answer questions and share insights about the College’s supportive, mission-driven workplace culture.
“Part-time faculty are valued members of our team and play a vital role in fulfilling our mission to provide high-quality education that prepares students for success in their careers and communities,” said Lorri Allison, Blue Ridge’s human resources director. “We’re looking for professionals who are passionate about sharing their knowledge, connecting with students, and making a lasting impact through teaching at Blue Ridge.”
Blue Ridge is currently recruiting instructors for areas such as:
- Health Sciences: Nurse Aide, Medical Assisting, Practical Nursing
- Arts & Sciences: American Sign Language, Political Science, Economics, General Biology, Communications, Art Appreciation, Math, Sociology, Psychology
- Trades & Technical: Welding, Cosmetology, Esthetics, Nail Technology
This event is ideal for professionals seeking engaging, flexible, part-time work that fits around their current career or family schedule. It’s also a great opportunity for working professionals who want to teach an evening or online class and share their real-world experience with students.
