Blue Ridge Community College invites qualified professionals ready to make a mark on the future of their field to attend hiring fairs this spring in both Henderson and Transylvania counties. Focused primarily on adjunct and part-time instructor roles, the events will feature on-the-spot interviews with program leaders and Blue Ridge’s Human Resources dept. Available positions involve instruction of day, evening, or online courses.
The first event takes place on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Student Center of the College’s Straus Building, located at 45 Oak Park Dr. in Brevard, North Carolina. The second event is scheduled for Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 4 – 7 p.m. in the lobby of the Patton Building, located at 180 W. Campus Drive in Flat Rock.
Attendees interested in adjunct or part-time roles are encouraged to bring their résumé for fast-tracked applications and on-the-spot interviews with Blue Ridge’s Human Resources representatives. Team members will also be available to share insights about the College’s supportive, mission-driven workplace culture and share details about applying for full-time positions.
“Part-time instructors play an important role in helping Blue Ridge fulfill its mission of providing high-quality education that prepares students for meaningful careers and active roles in their communities,” said Dr. Connie Wolfe, executive vice president at Blue Ridge Community College. “We value professionals who are eager to share their expertise, connect with students, and make a lasting impact in the classroom.”
These events are ideal for professionals seeking engaging, flexible, part-time work that fits around their current career or family schedule. It’s also a great opportunity for working professionals who want to teach an evening or online class and share their real-world experience with students. Retired or semi-retired professionals will find teaching at Blue Ridge a rewarding way to give back to the community and stay connected to their field, while recent graduates can build valuable teaching experience.
“Teaching part-time at Blue Ridge can be a rewarding way for professionals to give back,” added Human Resources Director Lorri Allison. “For those who care deeply about education, mentoring, or strengthening the workforce, the opportunity to work with our students can be both meaningful and fulfilling.”
