Fans of classic cars and unique vehicles will hit the road on May 30 to gather at Blue Ridge Community College’s Henderson County Campus for the 21st annual Auto & Truck Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The show takes place at 180 West Campus Drive in Flat Rock.
Free to the viewing public, all proceeds from vehicle entry fees will support students enrolled in Blue Ridge’s Automotive Technology program as they compete in SkillsUSA automotive competitions.
The event is hosted by the Great Smoky Mountain Region and Little Detroit Chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America. During the show, Blue Ridge’s expansive Patton Building parking lot will feature row after row of antique vehicles for spectators to view. Food and drinks including BBQ and hot dogs will be available for purchase.
To feature their vehicles, owners may register vehicles at the gate for a $20 fee. For further information about the event, contact Adam Riddle at 828-694-1775 or Kim LaRowe at 828-779-2378.
“Whether you’re a dedicated car and truck enthusiast or simply looking for a fun community event, the Auto & Truck Show offers something for everyone,” said Benjamin Rickert, director of marketing and communications at Blue Ridge Community College. “With dozens of classic vehicles on display, great food, and the chance to support our automotive students as they compete at the state and national levels, it’s a great way to spend a spring day.”
“We’re especially grateful to our local automobile club chapters for their partnership and hard work in creating another outstanding event,” he added.
