Description
The Patton Project will stand as a new 21st-century learning facility serving both students and our community. From the environments for learning to the technology needed for training and curriculum, this project will engage and support the students of Blue Ridge Community College in study and collaboration and position Blue Ridge Community College as a strong economic development partner for Henderson County in recruiting potential industry partners.
The Patton Project follows LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) design ideals to create a sustainable project that values and respects the natural environment throughout every step of the building process, from planning to construction to management.
Size: 78,739 square feet of new and renovated space.

- A 6,200 square-foot flexible industrial space to meet the needs of new and existing manufacturing employers
- Four state-of-the-art, specialized science labs to train future STEM and healthcare workers as well as those seeking transferable science credits
- Modern common areas for students to study, meet up, and learn in groups
- Front-and-center placement of the new Student Success Center for easy access for all student
- Fifteen multi-use classrooms equipped with infrastructure to support both current and future teaching and learning innovation and technology

Public Safety Training Center

Description
Blue Ridge Community College supports strong, safe communities by providing state-of-the-art training facilities for first responders, law enforcement officers, and other public safety professionals in Henderson and Transylvania Counties and across the region. Adding to the already established Fire Training Center, the Public Safety Training Center will meet the state requirements for the College Basic Law Enforcement Training Program as well as provide flexible multi-use indoor training space for all public safety training needs.
