Important announcement about graduation

 

Blue Ridge Community College is postponing its May 2020 Commencement ceremonies and Spring pinning ceremonies and exploring alternative ways to recognize our graduates. The ceremony was previously scheduled for May 9.

McGraw earns Finish Line Grant from Blue Ridge Community College

Sharon McGraw, a Blue Ridge student and an Emergency Management major, is also a recipient of one of the College’s Finish Line Grants, which gave her a hand up when she needed it most.

He enjoyed hands-on learning, and he wanted to stay close to home while starting a career soon after high school. Russell was also more interested in trades than studying at a four-year university.

“Emily Beauchamp always stood out to me. Not only as a female in the academy but as a hard-working leader who was at the top of her class and clearly demonstrated her commitment to our profession,” said Sherry Phillips, law enforcement director at Blue Ridge Community College.

Journalist Dan Rather once said, “The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who [inspires] you to the next plateau.”

For Victor Chatman, the instructors at Blue Ridge Community College impacted his life by believing in him and encouraging him to pursue his dreams.
