The Blue Ridge Educational Foundation helps expand access to education and create opportunities for student success. Through scholarships, donor support, and strategic partnerships, the Foundation invests in students, strengthens academic programs, and helps Blue Ridge respond to the evolving needs of our community and workforce.
The Foundation works closely with alumni, businesses, community organizations, and individual donors to support initiatives that have a lasting impact on students and the College. Whether funding scholarships, enhancing learning environments, or supporting innovative programs, every contribution helps advance the mission of Blue Ridge Community College.

Each year, the Blue Ridge Community College Educational Foundation awards about 200 locally funded scholarships, helping students overcome financial barriers and pursue their educational goals. Scholarship opportunities vary based on academic achievement, financial need, county of residence, program of study, and other donor-established criteria.
Every scholarship represents an investment in our community’s future. Donors can contribute to existing scholarship funds or establish new scholarships that reflect their values, honor a loved one, or support students pursuing a particular field of study. Together, these gifts help strengthen our local workforce and expand educational opportunities for generations to come.

The Blue Ridge Community College Educational Foundation annual Scholarship Appreciation Luncheon brings together students, donors, and college leaders for a celebration that honors the contributors and recipients of our student scholarships.
Scholarships assist many students in completing their education so they can become the next leaders in our community.
It is a day when we express our deep gratitude to the benefactors who generously open doors for our students in need. We celebrate the students, many of whom have risen above great odds to pursue their college degree. We acknowledge that, without the help of donor support, the dreams of a higher education and a better future may not have been possible.
