Blue Ridge Community College Now Enrolling for 2024 Summer and Fall Semesters, Spring Short Courses

Providing a high-quality and affordable education, Blue Ridge Community College is now enrolling new and returning students for the upcoming summer and fall semesters, in addition to 8-week accelerated Short Courses for the current Spring semester that begin March 5. Space is limited, and students are encouraged to enroll early to secure their seats in desired courses. Before registering for classes, new students must first apply at www.blueridge.edu/admissions.  

Students may choose and enroll in spring 2024 Short Courses through Monday, March 4. Enrollment for the 2024 summer semester continues through May 9 with classes beginning May 20. The last day to enroll for the 2024 fall semester is Aug. 8, and classes begin Aug. 15.

Competitive financial aid packages and over 200 scholarships are available, including the new Next NC Scholarship designed for many families with annual household incomes under $80k. Students are automatically considered for this scholarship after applying to Blue Ridge and completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.

Blue Ridge Community College serves students across Western North Carolina and the region through fully-online programs and three campuses located in Henderson and Transylvania Counties. Blue Ridge offers more than 200 degrees, diplomas and certificates in over 30 areas of study. These include fast-tracked short-term workforce training programs, paid apprenticeships, dual-enrollment high school options and two-year college transfer degree programs designed for students bound for four-year institutions. Blue Ridge also holds a variety of transfer and guaranteed admissions agreements with well-known nearby and state universities.

Newest Programs
This academic year, Blue Ridge added several new academic programs based on industry demand and employment opportunities. These include artificial intelligence, civil engineering technology, environmental engineering technology, entrepreneurship, medical office administration, practical nursing and the elementary education residency program. This fall, the College will launch a respiratory therapy program through its Transylvania County Campus.

In addition to traditional semesters, Blue Ridge Community College provides students flexibility by offering dozens of 8-week Short Courses. Through Short Courses, students earn full college credit in half the time of a traditional semester. These classes are offered online and on location at the Henderson or Transylvania County campuses.
