The Electrical Apprenticeship program allows eligible high school graduates and adult learners to earn while you learn in the classroom and on the job. The program is a collaborative effort of Blue Ridge Community College, Henderson County Public Schools, Transylvania County Schools, Homeschool Association, and Jackson Electric Contractors working together to the workforce of today and tomorrow.

The Electrical Apprenticeship program is a registered North Carolina Apprenticeship with the N.C. Department of Labor.

Program Description:

Length of Program: Three years. 4-6 semesters. 4,800-6,000 hours of on-the-job training.
Eligibility: Recent high school graduates and adult learners.
Tuition: Free. Plus, you’ll get PAID to attend class.
Starting Pay: $17.00. Periodic increases. Pay after completion: $22.00.
Class Hours: Minimum 432.
Schedule: Class one day a week. Work the remainder of the week at one of our partner companies.
