At Blue Ridge Community College’s Public Safety Training Division, we offer two types of AHA (American Heart Association) courses: Group Training Sessions and Individual Skills Checks following online training. Below are details for each:

Group Training

If you’re an organization, department, or group looking to schedule an AHA-certified training session for six or more participants, our group training option is for you. Individual Skills Checks
(after completing an online essentials course)

To become AHA certified in a particular discipline or multiple disciplines, you must first complete an online ‘AHA Essentials’ course, which can be purchased through our training center. After successfully completing the online course, you’ll be eligible to schedule the in-person skills check.
