2014-2015 Blue Ridge Community College Concert Series Begins Sept. 16

Dr. Kevin Ayesh

The 2014-2015 Blue Ridge Community College Concert Series will commence with a 
performance by pianist Kevin Ayesh on Tuesday, September 16 at 7:30 P.M. in Thomas 
Auditorium. The program will feature works by Beethoven, Chopin, Ravel, and Massimo 
Berzolla. 

Kevin Ayesh has presented recitals and master classes at colleges and universities throughout 
the United States, as well as in Germany and Hong Kong. He has been a prizewinner or finalist 
in several national and international competitions, and has appeared as a concerto soloist with 
many orchestras in western North Carolina. A former North Carolina Visiting Artist, Dr. Ayesh 
has been the Lead Music Instructor at Blue Ridge Community College since 1992. He received 
his Bachelor of Music degree with highest honors from the University of Texas; his master’s and 
doctorate degrees are from the University of Maryland. His teachers were Elinor Aiken, William 
Race, and Nelita True.

Admission to the concert is $10, payable at the door; admission for all students is only 
$3. Season tickets for the entire series of six concerts are available at $50. All concerts 
feature open (non-reserved) seating. Proceeds benefit the college's Personal Enrichment 
Program. Thomas Auditorium is located in the Sink Building on BRCC’s Henderson County
