Federal Grants & State Scholarships Available

Federal Pell Grant

A Federal Pell Grant is a grant that does not have to be repaid by the student. To apply for a Pell Grant, students need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa   Applicants must have a high school diploma, adult high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma. Students holding a Bachelor’s degree are ineligible.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant

The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant is a grant for students with exceptional financial need.

NC Scholarship

This North Carolina Scholarship is a scholarship for NC residents who complete the FAFSA and meet required eligibility criteria. This scholarship eligibility is determined by the state based on FAFSA results and enrollment status. Students must be enrolled at least half time (6 credit hours or more), and must not have earned a Bachelor’s degree.
