The Construction Apprenticeship program allows eligible high school graduates and adult learners to earn while you learn in the classroom and on the job. The program is a collaborative effort of Blue Ridge Community College, Henderson County Public Schools, Transylvania County Public Schools, Homeschool Association, and local employers working together to support the workforce of today and tomorrow.
The Construction Apprenticeship program is a registered North Carolina Apprenticeship with the N.C. Department of Labor.

Program Description:

Length of Program: Two years. 4 – 6 Semesters (Fall ‘23 – Spring ‘26) and 4,000 hours of work.
Eligibility: January and June 2023 High School Graduates and Adult Learners.
Tuition: Free. Plus, you’ll get PAID to attend class.
Starting Pay: $14 minimum. Periodic increases.
Schedule: Class one day a week.
Work remainder of the week at one of our partner companies.
Application and Hiring Process
For adult learners and those graduating in January 2023:
- Draft Day, in February 2023, is the selection process that includes interviews with each company and group exercises.
- If selected, a contingent offer of employment will be extended with specific details to follow.
- If hired, you will begin employment.
- Class will begin August 2023.
For those graduating in June 2023:
- Pre-Apprenticeship will be in July.
