Electrical Academy

The Electrical Academy at Blue Ridge Community College is an eight-week pathway program that introduces participants to the electrical trade while building the technical and professional skills employers need. Participants gain hands-on experience, explore real-world residential electrical applications, earn industry credentials, and connect with local employers.

The Electrical Academy is part of Careers Electric™, a statewide initiative that brings together community colleges, employers, workforce organizations, and education partners to strengthen North Carolina’s electrical workforce.

Earn While You Learn

Students who successfully complete the Electrical Academy will receive a stipend based on participation, attendance, and completion of the program. This fully reimburses your course investment, with plenty left to spend.

  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • CPR / First Aid Certification
  • Forklift Operator Certification
