Electrical Apprenticeship
The Electrical Apprenticeship program allows eligible high school graduates and adult learners to earn while you learn in the classroom and on the job. The program is a collaborative effort of Blue Ridge Community College, Henderson County Public Schools, Transylvania County Schools, Henderson County Homeschool Association, Jackson Electrical Contractors, and A-American Electric working together to support the workforce of today and tomorrow.
The Electrical Apprenticeship Program is a registered North Carolina Apprenticeship with the N.C. Department of Labor.
Program Description
Length of Program: Three years. 4-6 semesters. 4,800-6,000 hours of on-the-job training.
Eligibility: Recent high school graduates and adult learners.
Tuition: Tuition waivers are available for eligible, recent high school graduates, and financial aid may be available for those who qualify. Plus, you’ll earn a paycheck while attending class through your apprenticeship.
Starting Pay: $17.00. Periodic increases.
Pay After Completion: $22.00.
Schedule: Class one day a week. Work the remainder of the week at one of our partner companies.
432 class hours minimum.
