The Heating & Air Conditioning (HVAC) Apprenticeship program allows eligible high school graduates and adult learners to earn while you learn in the classroom and on the job. The program is a collaborative effort of Blue Ridge Community College, Henderson County Public Schools, Transylvania County Schools, Henderson County Homeschool Association, and local HVAC employers working together to support the workforce of today and tomorrow.
The Heating & Air Conditioning (HVAC) Apprenticeship Program is a registered North Carolina Apprenticeship with the N.C. Department of Labor.
Length of Program: Three years. Four to six semesters and 6,000-8,000 hours of on-the-job training.
Eligibility: Recent high school graduates and adult learners.
Tuition: Tuition waivers are available for eligible, recent high school graduates, and financial aid may be available for those who qualify. Plus, you’ll earn a paycheck while attending class through your apprenticeship.
Starting Pay: Varies, w/ periodic increases.
Schedule: Class one day a week. Work the remainder of the week at one of our partner companies.
