Plumbing Apprenticeship
The Plumbing Apprenticeship program allows eligible high school graduates and adult learners to earn while you learn in the classroom and on the job. The program is a collaborative effort of Blue Ridge Community College, Henderson County Public Schools, Transylvania County Schools, Henderson County Homeschool Association, and T.P. Howard’s Plumbing Company, Inc., working together to support the workforce of today and tomorrow.
The Plumbing Apprenticeship Program is a registered North Carolina Apprenticeship with the N.C. Department of Labor.
Program Description
Length of Program: Two years and 6,000 hours of work.
Eligibility: 18 or older, high school graduate, and must have a valid driver’s license.
Tuition: Tuition waivers are available for eligible, recent high school graduates, and financial aid may be available for those who qualify. Plus, you’ll earn a paycheck while attending class through your apprenticeship.
Starting Pay: $17.00 with full benefits. Increases yearly.
Pay After Completion: $21.00.
Schedule: Class one day a week. Work the remainder of the week at T.P. Howard’s Plumbing Company, Inc.
