Certified Automotive Tire Service (ATS)
Get your ATS Credential that is offered through the Tire Industry Association for technicians and service advisors that are working or wanting to work on modern cars and light trucks in this course. You will learn about the step-by-step procedures for lifting the vehicle; removing the assembly; de-mounting, mounting, and inflating; balancing; tire repair; and wheel installation. You will also gain the skills for the proper installation of tires in relation to Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors (TPMS) and the newest procedures when servicing tires. You must recertify for this certification every two years. Escort Vehicle Operator
Start your own business and become a certified Escort Vehicle Operator to escort Oversized/overweight loads. This course provides the certification required by the North Carolina General Statutes for oversize/overweight vehicle escorts. OBD Emission Inspection Certification
Become a licensed Auto Emission/OBD inspector or renew an existing license. This course meets the training requirements for the Auto Emission Inspection Program administered by the NC Division of Motor Vehicles, License and Theft Bureau. A mechanic must attend an eight-hour emission course and pass a written and hands-on state certification exam administered in this course for both certification and recertification. The State of North Carolina requires those who want to be commissioned by the Secretary of State as a Notary Public to complete a course of instruction at a community college.
