What it’s about

The Blue Ridge Community College cosmetology program features the Matrix CRAFT Methodology. Our cosmetology and esthetics programs offer smaller class sizes, which allow for more one-on-one instruction coupled with real-life experiences covering both the creative and business skills needed to help you prepare for your career. The cosmetology curricula includes coursework in all phases of professional imaging, current trends and techniques in hair design, chemical processes, skin care, nail care, multi-cultural practices, business/computer principles, product knowledge, and other selected topics.

Students will learn in a simulated salon environment that enables them to develop vital skills in a real-life setting. The esthetics program includes coursework and instruction in all phases of professional skincare, hair removal, makeup, body treatments as well as business/human relations, product knowledge, and other related topics. We teach traditional spa therapies as well as holistic therapies. Students will also learn, practice and be certified in various forms of advanced modalities, which is essential in today’s growing industry.
