EHSI has scheduled safety courses through June 2021. These are intended for all members of the Community College system and will provide useful accident prevention information for employees as well as COVID19 protection tips. Please help us get the word out to faculty and staff members system wide about these events which are geared specifically towards community colleges.
- Webinars are are typically approximately 2 hours in duration. (OSHA 10 and 30 hour class times differ)
- It is important that you sign into the webinar no earlier than 15 minutes prior to start of webinar.
- Webinar will start at designated time.

Preregistration (at any time) for sessions is encouraged. Once registered you will be shown a screen that confirms your registration. Go to bottom of screen and click on View Meeting Information. From here you can add it to your Calendar and at the appropriate time you can join the meeting through your calendar invite. You also will be sent a confirmation email with password and instructions for joining. You may join the webinar up to 15 minutes prior to the start time. Sign in using your full name (what you would like on your certificate), your community college email address and the password Safe.
Earn your OSHA 10 Hour Card at the OSHA 10 Hour Classes held on SafetyNet
You can earn your OSHA 10 Hour Card through video teleconferencing sessions consisting of four 2.75 hour classes (either morning sessions 9:30a-12:15p or afternoon sessions 1:30p-4:15p). Space is limited. You must attend ALL sessions, have a webcam, be prompt, be able to participate (via chat) when called on and take a written test in order to receive your OSHA 10 Hour card. If you are interested please use our form to register your interest so that you can be invited to our next session.
The mission of the Environmental Health and Safety Institute is to assist the NC community colleges in their pursuit of safe and healthy workplaces. EHSI currently provides safety training, inspections and air quality testing.
