wilderness medicine students working on a medical dummy to learn procedures

Bringing ‘stick meds’ to street providers

This program builds upon the base knowledge of all EMS providers, bringing lessons learned from wilderness medical scenarios to urban settings. It will include advanced topics such as survival, rescue operations, dangerous environments, medical care, team-based medicine, trauma and much more!

Weekend trainings take place in Dupont State Forest, and students will receive Continuing Education Credits for maintaining their NC State and NR certification.

Online portions run 6 to 10 p.m.  Students will need to be on their computers for these sessions.
