Student Ambassadors serve as the face of the student body to our community, participating in public relations and recruiting activities for Blue Ridge Community College. Student Ambassadors provide an invaluable service to the College by serving as liaisons between the College, its students, and the community. With financial support from the Educational Foundation, the Student Ambassador Program is Blue Ridge’s premier leadership development program.

Student Ambassadors represent the diverse areas of the College, and have a variety of career goals and experiences. Selection is merit based, with the application period beginning in the spring of every academic year. Ambassadors are required to maintain a 3.5 GPA, perform a minimum of 5 office hours per week, and be in good standing with the college both academically and financially. Student Ambassadors commit to serve for one academic year, beginning their term in the fall semester following their selection. Student may be required to assist with recruiting, orientation and campus tours during the Summer Semester. In addition to work activities, Ambassadors participate in a variety of leadership and professional skills workshops over their term.

Student Ambassadors are selected from both the Henderson County and the Transylvania County campuses. They may be asked to serve at functions on either campus.
