Blue Ridge Community College issues college ID cards to students and staff that also serve as your library card. You can get a college ID card at the College Bookstore. Then bring your new Blue Ridge ID card to the library so we can activate your card in the library’s database.
With your library-activated photo ID card you can check out materials and reserve study space. Please note, you must present your card each time you wish to check out any library materials.
Continuing education students, as well as Henderson and Transylvania County residents can also get library cards by filling out an application at the library circulation desk. Library staff will issue a community card to any person who lives, works, or goes to school in Henderson or Transylvania counties. Contact the library at (828) 694-1879 or library@blueridge.edu for more details.

Yes. The library has 14 computers available for use, and students doing research have priority. Printing from a computer or making copies costs $0.15 per page; scanning is free. Students may use their myCourses log-in credentials to access their student printing accounts. Community patrons may pay-per-print.
We are not able to send faxes, but our Print Shop located in the Killian building has that capability.
Wireless access is available throughout the library and the rest of campus. No access code is required to use the wireless network on your own laptop computer. You are required, however, to accept the college terms and conditions for use.

You may bring library-friendly drinks and snacks to the library. Covered drinks — travel mugs or other containers with screw-top lids–are library friendly. Snack items such as packaged crackers, cookies, pretzels, granola bars, nuts, raisins, M & Ms, etc. are allowed when consumed responsibly. Fast food items or meals from any outside vendor, including the cafeteria, must be eaten outside. When you leave, throw away or pack out your snack and drink trash. You can also recycle your plastic drink bottles in containers located just outside the library.
