Have a question about transferring after Blue Ridge? Looking for tutoring or other academic support? Want to get more involved in campus events and leadership?
Student Services is bringing information, resources, and staff together for Pop-Ups in Patton, a series of three fall events focused on different parts of the student experience. Each Pop-Up will highlight a specific topic, but you can stop by with questions about any student service or support at Blue Ridge Community College.
All three events will be held from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. in the Patton Building, 180 West Campus Drive, on the Henderson County Campus:
- Sept. 23 — Transfer Talk: Learn about the transfer process, transfer resources and guaranteed admissions opportunities.
- Oct. 21 — Student Life: Learn about campus activities, clubs, student government and ways to get involved.
- Nov. 18 — Student Success Center: Learn about tutoring, academic support services, schedules and how to access them.
“Pop-Ups in Patton are a great opportunity to meet members of our Student Services team, ask questions and learn about the resources available to you,” said Kirsten Bunch, vice president for Student Services. “We hope students will stop by, connect with us and discover ways to make the most of their time at Blue Ridge.”
Sept. 23: Transfer Talk
If you are thinking about transferring to a four-year college or university, Transfer Talk is an opportunity to learn more about the process and the resources available to help you plan your next step.
Blue Ridge offers several College Transfer programs designed to fulfill the first two years of a bachelor’s degree, as well as transfer agreements with four-year institutions. The College also maintains guaranteed admissions pathways with select North Carolina institutions for eligible students. These high value pathways can save students tens of thousands of dollars when their academic goals include four-year degrees and beyond.
Stop by with questions about transfer planning, transfer resources, guaranteed admissions or your individual transfer goals.

Oct. 21: Student Life
College is more than what happens in the classroom. Student Life offers opportunities to connect with other students, explore interests and become part of the Blue Ridge community.
Students can participate in campus activities, join existing clubs and organizations, or work with Student Life staff to start something new. The Student Government Association also gives students a voice in campus life and coordinates student activities.
At the Student Life Pop-Up, learn about upcoming activities, ways to get involved, clubs and organizations, the Student Government Association , and other opportunities to make the most of your college experience.

Nov. 18: Student Success Center
The Student Success Center provides free academic support to help students succeed in their courses. Services include tutoring and support with skills such as test-taking, note-taking, studying, and time management.
At the Pop-Up, learn more about what the Student Success Center offers, when services are available and how to access them. Whether you need help with a specific course or want to strengthen your academic skills, this is a chance to find out what support is available before you need it.

Have another question?
You don’t have to wait for the Pop-Up that matches your question. Student Services team members will be available at all three events to answer questions about student services and support across the College.
Students are invited to stop by the Patton Building to ask a question, learn about a resource, or simply find out what’s available to Blue Ridge students.
