Blue Ridge Community College Enrollment Open for 2025 Summer and Fall Semesters, Spring Short Courses

Blue Ridge Community College is now enrolling students for the upcoming summer and fall 2025 semesters, as well as accelerated 8-week spring Short Courses that begin March 10. Providing high-quality, accessible education to Western North Carolina since 1969, Blue Ridge offers over 200 degrees, diplomas, and certificates in 30 areas of study. These include workforce training, paid apprenticeships, dual-enrollment options for high school students, and transfer degrees for students bound for four-year institutions.

Students are encouraged to enroll early to secure their seats in desired courses. New students can request information or apply at www.blueridge.edu/admissions.

Upcoming Enrollment Dates

Summer Semester:

  • Priority registration period: Now through May 2, 2025
  • Final late registration opportunity: May 15, 2025
  • Classes begin: May 19, 2025

Fall Semester:

  • Priority registration period: Now through August 7, 2025
  • Final late registration opportunity: August 14, 2025
  • Classes begin: August 18, 2025

Save Time, Stay on Track with Short Courses

Blue Ridge Community College is currently enrolling for the mid-semester session of Short Courses that begin March 10, 2025. Through Short Courses, students earn full credit in 8 weeks – half the time of a normal semester, allowing them to get ahead or catch up on their studies. These flexible, abbreviated courses are offered online or on-campus, offering a convenient way to stay on track and reach goals faster. Learn more at www.blueridge.edu/short-courses.

Students should enroll in these courses by March 7, 2025, and to be eligible for tuition assistance through the Build Your Future Grant, apply by February 28, 2025.

Financial Aid and Scholarship Opportunities

Financial aid is available for both the summer and fall semesters, including through the Next NC Scholarship, which can fully cover tuition and fees for many North Carolina community college students. To be considered, students must apply at www.blueridge.edu/admissions, and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For summer semester aid, submit the 2024-25 FAFSA by Friday, April 25, 2025. For fall semester aid, submit the 2025-26 FAFSA by August 1, 2025

In addition to state-funded scholarships, Blue Ridge offers a variety of scholarships through its Educational Foundation. Students should complete the FAFSA to begin the process and explore available opportunities at www.blueridge.edu/scholarships
